DUNES – Land of the Blind

Three albums in, and DUNES are locked into their lane — dusty, heavy, and rolling deep. Land of the Blind hits like a desert storm: fuzzed-out riffs, sun-scorched grooves, and a thick layer of North England grit. It doesn’t reinvent stoner rock — it just nails it. There’s a real KYUSS-style heat here, but filtered through rust-belt blues and working-class weight. The production? Raw and warm, like vintage gear left out in the desert sun.

The dual vocals are a standout — one ragged and haunting à la Neil Young, the other bold and tribal like Ian Astbury. It’s a rare move in the genre, and it gives the record a ritualistic, dynamic edge.

Land of the Blind doesn’t mess around. It’s focused, fuzzy, and full of fire — a lean, mean stoner machine.
