When the needle drops and "Evil Woman, Bloody Murder" roars through the speakers, it feels like inhaling the dusty air of a smoky basement show straight from the shadowy corners of the 70s. Two Argentine bands – No Stone and Wicca333 – have built a dark altar here, celebrating fuzz-laden stoner doom in all its hazy glory.
Wicca opens the ceremony with fuzzy doom-laden, blues-infused riffs so filthy and occult that you can almost smell the candles burning in the ritual chamber.
The influences of Mephistofeles and the unmatched Sabbath school are undeniable here – slow, dark, and tinged with a touch of insane magic in the riffing. The atmosphere is so dense you can almost see the fog creeping out of the amplifiers.
On the Other Side "No Stone" delivers a heavy, fuzz-drenched trip oscillating somewhere between the early days of psychedelic rock and a dooming witch's sabbath. The sound is raw, hypnotic, with echoes of Uncle Acid's spectral vocals clearly shining through. The vocals seem to speak to us through smoke and reverb, an echo of a long-past but never-forgotten era.
"Evil Woman, Bloody Murder" is more than just a split – it’s a homage to the dusty, guitar-driven darkness of the 70s. A must-have for anyone who spends their life surrounded by vinyl records, lava lamps, and smoky riffs.
