The Absurd Premiere New Music Video For "Enemy"

"Enemy_" has been featured as one of Classic Rock Magazine's songs of the week, and both the band's records have been featured on multiple end-of-year lists, including from DoomCharts, and a Top 10 Albums of the Year ranking by Hollywood Metal Magazine. With a sound ranging from grunge to classic rock to punk, stoner metal, industrial and everything in between, The Absurd boast broad appeal across the world of rock.

Bio:

The Absurd is a true power trio, firing off catchy hooks and thunderous riffs with equal potency. Originating from Detroit, now based in Los Angeles, the band is known for their heavy, psychedelic sound and explosive live show. They've "melted the paint of the walls at just about every club" they've played, and have been featured on stages ranging from Music Festivals to Gay Pride to Underground Art Galleries.

Thanks to their rowdy performances, strong songwriting, word-of-mouth, and the benevolence of the underground heavy rock blogosphere, they’ve assembled a remarkably diverse fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic. Ranging from stoner rock die-hards, classic rock nerds & doom heads to free lovin' hippies, indie kids & uncompromising punks, their shows are a sight to behold for any rock fan nostalgic for the days when the Eddie Vedder & David Yow used to plunge headfirst into a teeming mass of bodies.

The band's debut LP was released in 2018, followed by 2020's "The Sun Still Rises", with both meriting inclusion in multiple best-of-year lists.

Already back in the studio working on multiple new records, The Absurd are never at a loss for material as they continue to refine their unique Desert Rock meets Grunge sound. Look out for  some surprises on their next EP, slated for release in early Summer.

"A conflagration of heavy psychedelia that sees Foerg caterwauling over the daunting muscle-flexing of his rhythm section." - Kevin Bronson, Buzzbands.la

“The bass slaps harder than your mom’s angry palm across your cheek after she caught you smoking her cigarettes. Combining their bombastic knack for melody with a renewed sense of absurdity... [The Absurd] blinds us with smoldering hooks and rhythmic bliss.” - Bucky Brown, The Ripple Effect

"A firm middle finger to the rising fascist agenda in America" - Henrik Thorgerson, Hollywood Metal

"Super-groovy and melodic with energy by the crateful. It makes you think of Iggy & The Stooges having a noisy jam with Nirvana and their mates." - Classic Rock Magazine
