Madrid-based heavy metal band SLOWBURN announces their second album, "Fire Starter," slated for release on October 17, 2023.

The album promises an evolved sound, drawing on a rich palette of metal influences.

Emerging from the rich tapestry of Madrid's esteemed metal community, SLOWBURN announces the impending release of their second full-length studio album, "Fire Starter." The album is set for global distribution via Fighter Records on October 17, 2023, available in both CD and digital formats.

Initially conceived in 2015 by Jorge Serrano, renowned bassist for RANCOR, SLOWBURN has undergone significant transformations to refine their sound, attracting a cadre of accomplished musicians from Madrid’s thriving metal landscape. Despite the setbacks triggered by the pandemic—line-up changes and an absence from live performances—the band has remained resolute, earning their stripes by sharing the stage with iconic acts such as Steve Grimmet Grim Reaper, Tank, and Praying Mantis, among others.

"Fire Starter" exemplifies the apex of SLOWBURN's musical evolution, resonating with complex guitar riffing, intricate bass and drum arrangements, and an electrifying vocal performance. The album offers a rich palette of soundscapes, paying homage to the multi-generational influences that have shaped the band's identity—from the 70's artistry of BlackFoot and Van Halen to the 80's hard rock mastery of Judas Priest and Megadeth.

Recorded in Spring 2023, this body of work represents a marked departure from their 2020 debut album "Rock and Roll Rats," showcasing a maturity and polish that underlines the band's commitment to musical excellence.
