The Month of May Lays Down the Heavy: Ripple news on Mothership Flash Sale, Doublestone, Vokonis and Steak!

Doublestone are set to drop an absolute mind-bender of heavy, retro-psych on to your turntable this week!  Mastered for vinyl by Tony Reed, you know the album will have a organic feel with plenty of punch.  First time we heard these guys we knew we needed to work with them. Two editions, the Eye in the Sky, orange black splatter, and the Orange Crush, solid orange vinyl will be released, along with a very few (only 5) test pressings and CD.  Sale starts next Saturday, May 6th at 7am PST.  www.ripple-music.com.

           

Speaking of the Vokonis 7"!  Man, are we psyched to be working with these Swedish purveyors of heavy doom!  Their debut album Olde Ancient One, was one of the breakout albums of 2016, and their new album, The Sunken Djinn is even better.  Later this month, we'll be unleashing this gorgeous 7" in three color limited editions, featuring the title track and an unreleased,non-album B-side.   Look for more news to come soon, but anticipated release is May 13th. 

           

Last but not least, May ends with a bang, as we open the cages and let loose the new album from stoner-legends, Steak.  After putting out their first few releases on Napalm, Steak joins the Ripple family for their new full length LP of killer stoner riffs and heavy groove.  As always, comic-themed art conveys the band's message and the limited edition version of the LP will even include a full Steak Comic book.  Look for this baby to hit the streets on May 20th.
