Holy Shit! 2021. What can you say about the rocky road that was 2021? Here’s a couple of things that you can probably say… 1.) There were portions of it that sucked. 2.) I’m reading this, so clearly I survived and that is a good thing. 3.) The heavy metal underground not only survived it fucking thrived.

Ladies and gentlemen (and I use the terms loosely) it is my absolute pleasure to share with you volume one of Fistful of DOOM’s Highlights of 2021 list. I am very scientific in my methodology. Each release was given a rating of one to five stars. Spoiler alert. There’s not an album included that got less than a three star rating. Below you will find 15 of the 50 albums that made the list. They are in no particular order. Volume two will be posted at a later date. Massive thanks to the bands for continuing to share with us the fruits of their blood, sweat and tears.
