BMG Records has just compiled for the first time ever, a comprehensive collection of Motorhead’s best songs from all along their career. It comes as a 2CD, 2LP, 4LP, digital download, streaming and 360 Reality Audio.
As soon as I got the collection on CD, I took it to the car and hit the road because driving and listening to Motorhead loud while driving is the best. The range of songs is perfect, something from everywhere and all different iterations of the band. The sound was amazing, clear, and when turned up, rattled the windows and made people look. The insert doesn’t have a lot of info in it, at least a good listing of all the band members and when they played in the band was included. The songs are hard-hitting and flowed really well from the different eras, and it was cool that the order wasn’t the typical from the earliest to the newest, more of a random order, but it worked. Only three songs were not the best to me, “Orgasmatron”, “Brotherhood of Man”, and “The Game”. Not my favorite songs by Motorhead, but I can understand that some people will love that they are on here, so a minor thing.
Grab this album in any format that you like, and play loud…make Lemmy and the rest of guys proud of the insanity that they created. This will definitely be an album on repeat play in your music collection.
