The Ghost Next Door Ripple Road Trip: Views from the road. Pt. 3

Howdy, pardners!

Let’s see...

Where did I leave off?

After the Stoner Jam 19 SXSW deal, we drove to Ft Worth, TX. Played this place call the
Ridglea Lounge. Nice staff, great sound.

Played with two killer bands. Druids from Iowa and Yatra from Maryland.

Our third show with Druids.

Had some old school friends stop by for the gig. We’re talking Ruthie’s Inn era peeps!
Always a pleasure to see familiar faces on the road.

Next day we headed back to Austin and the Gravityfest. Played to a much bigger crowd this time.

No sound checks to speak of so far.

Not even a line check for us tonight! All rushed and hurried.

My voice was giving me trouble again too. I KNOW I will find that right balance sooner or later!

Had fun regardless.

On to Memphis!

We played on St Patrick’s Day at this place called Growlers. They had wide screen TV’s with Nintendo! Played some Donkey Kong and Mario 3. I used to play mad video games. Nowadays, not so much. Love the classics tho.

My favorite band of the night was Backwoods Payback from Pennsylvania.

We played well. Vox still struggling a bit. Getting closer tho.

After the show we joined our bassist Noah’s brother, Ryan and Ryan’s husband, Matt to a bit of drinking and late night entertainment at the famous Beale St.

We had the next night off, you see.

A travel day.

Woke up and started driving to Denver. Aaron and Sebastien have been doing the bulk of the driving. Seb cause he wants to see America. Aaron? Maybe he just likes to drive. Seb is amazing with the parking, by the way. We have a 15 seater van and a UHaul trailer, so in many instances we need a pro. Seb’s our man!

After a stop overnight in Missouri, we headed for Your Mom’s Place in Colorado.
Great staff, great lighting and we actually got our very first soundcheck!

I, personally had some technical difficulties at first and had my doubts about the performance. Luckily, we recorded the set.

Bammo!

Vocals on point!

Finally!!

Woo Hoo!

I do have to say that I consulted a friend, for some advice. A certain professional rocker who will not be named.

Tried it...

It worked!

Stoked!

Thank you, brother!

Had a drink with my super old school homie, Chris Ritter. Definitely an OG. That was nice.

Driving through Wyoming now en route to SLC.

We’ll talk soon.

Much Love..

Gee Double Yoo
