Flogging Molly Announce St. Patrick's Day Performance on March 17th at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA

Celtic punk rock band, Flogging Molly, has announced an exclusive St. Patrick's Day show set for Thursday March 17, 2016 at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA. The show will be part of the band's Devils Dance Floor event. The bill will feature Gogol Bordello, Hepcat and other special guests to be announced. The St. Patrick's Day performance will uniquely include a fully-functioning pub on stage where lucky fans will be able to grab a drink while Flogging Molly is performing. ABOUT FLOGGING MOLLY

Founded in Los Angeles in 1997, Flogging Molly has always defied categorization. The infectious originality of their songs is a badge of honor and key to the band's creativity, their urgency. They infuse punk rock with Celtic instruments-violin, mandolin and the accordion-and they merge blues progressions with grinding guitars and traditional Irish music, the music of King's youth. ABOUT GOGOL BORDELLO

Frontman, Eugene Hutz, founded Gogol Bordello in New York City in 1999, after leaving Ukraine in the aftermath of Chernobyl. In keeping with his vision of creating an international groove, he recruited musicians of all ages, races and cultures, including bassist Thomas Gobena, from Ethiopia, Russian violinist Sergey Ryabtsev from Moscow, percussionist Pedro Erazo-Segovia from Ecuador and backing singer and dancer Elizabeth Sun from Hong Kong by way of Scotland.  The band's endless touring and critically acclaimed shows have made them international headliners.  Their performances have taken the group throughout the US, Russia, S. America and Europe and include multiple stops at festivals such as Lollapalooza (US, Chile and Brazil), Pinkpop, Bonnaroo, Leeds, Reading and Coachella.  Gogol Bordello's latest release, Pura Vida Conspiracy, is the band's sixth studio album released on ATO Records.

 

ABOUT HEPCAT

Hepcat was formed in late 1989/early 1990 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Greg Lee and keyboardist/vocalist Deston Berry. Over the years, fate has coaxed the band through several member changes, but the core Hepcat of today (20 years later) is still comprised largely of original players. They released their first album in 1993 entitled "Out Of Nowhere" on Moon Records, which showed the world that Hepcat was a powerful force in the music industry. They didn't release their second album until 1996, entitled "Scientific" on the BYO Records label, which reinforced their tremendous talents. Hepcat released the higly acclaimed "Right On Time" album in late 1997/early 1998 on the Hellcat Records label, and followed it up a year later with "Push & Shove," it's most recent label backed release. During their careers, Hepcat has opened for such legendary acts as Desmond Dekker, The Wailers Band, The Specials, The Skatalites, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Ben Harper, Rancid, among many others. Their two videos, "Bobby & Joe" and "No Worries" have both aired on Music Television, and Hepcat has even made a live performance on the Conan O'Brien show.
