This Italian metal band started out back in 2006 as a cover band and has finally put out their debut album. With thirteen tracks of their own, they wanted to recreate that “live” atmosphere on the album featuring modern hard and heavy songs with melodic, catchy refrains that get stuck in your head from the very first listen.
With bits of MOTORHEAD, METALLICA and scum rock all mixing together, this group of guys get down to some heavy and hard-hitting songs that seem to be an anthem after another. Catchy choruses, gruff vocals, thick bass, pummeling drums, and guitar solos that will get the air guitarists out in full force, these guys just start kicking you in the ass and don’t stop. Kicking things off with “Introduction” the band lays down the lay of the land, an album of intensity and thrills that come at you so fast and hard that if you don’t become a fan, you must be deaf, or at least not a fan of fantastic, hard rocking music. The only down side was the slower song “Afterlife,” a slower song that while being heartfelt and well played, just didn’t grab me as much as the others. They cover MOTORHEAD’s “Rock ’n’ Roll” and do it justice with the pure love that these guys put into the intense playing and the talent that they put forth not just on this song, but throughout the entire album.
I really don’t say this too often, but this is one of the best albums that I’ve heard this year and it will definitely be played over and over in my house. This is one band that surprised me because I had thought that the name reminding me of SOUNDGARDEN would be a total grunge, crap-fest, turned out to be so awesome.
